Reunited and it Feels So Good: Favre Arrives In Minnesota
As we all assumed Brett Favre has rejoined the Minnesota Vikings. We are still waiting for the team and Brett to make it official, but it appears the soap opera has ended rather mildly this season.
For the Record:
The retirement saga has been pretty bad with Brett in the past, but the media totally tried to make this into a bigger drama then it was this time around. We all saw an elderly Favre get tossed around and beaten up in the NFC championship game. We knew he needed surgery, and we knew a bone spur was not likely to keep him off the field, but of course that he would make sure. We also knew that Favre doesn’t need to waste time in camp or in preseason games. He is Brett Favre, he throws TD’s in his sleep. He can come and go as he pleases.
Shiancoe and Sharper Twitter War Escalates
After
According to Sportress of Blogitude, the “X-marks the spot” Twitter war between the Vikings Visanthe Shiancoe, and New Orleans’ Darren Sharper has reached an epic new level when Shiancoe posted these pictures from a training exercise he participated in with the Minnesota National Guard.
Sharper started the Twitter battle when he implied that “x-marks the spot” on Minnesota QB Brett Favre’s recently surgically repaired ankle, prompting Shiancoe to do the same in reference to Sharper’s recently repaired knee.
For The Record: Iran just tweeted that it is preparing to nuke Israel, but Israel did not immediately respond, as Israel is still only on Myspace.
Nit-Twits
Darren Sharper of the N.O. Saints Tweeted that he intends to purposely go after the surgically repaired ankle of 42 year old Brett Favre in their season opener. It is bad enough that he is publicly admitting that he intends to reinjure anyone, but come on if you aren’t going to show any class you can at least show some respect for your elders.
Vikings tight end Visanthe Shiancoe aptly answered:
“That’s all good, but Sharper had surgery, too. And it was the knee, so if ‘X’ marks the spot on Brett, I wonder what marks the spot on Sharper?”
I don’t know a bulls-eye? You tell me….
Of course this didn’t end there Sharper added:
Actually X=10. Dummy.
These guys aren’t required to come up with these comebacks on the spot. They have time to think, even put them in writing, and they still sound retarded.
Brett Favre to Have Full-Body Transplant in Time for Summer Workouts
Instead of having each individually injured part of his body surgically repaired over the next 20 years, Brett Favre has elected to just have his entire body replaced.
Luckily for him, finding a gay jeans model willing to donate his body to science, was surprisingly easy.
Wranglers will be pleased.
For The Record:
I find it odd that every male jeans model pictured on Google Images looks like he’d rather be wearing leather pants with a blouse instead.
Favre Signs 1 Year Deal With Chicago Bears
Just Kidding Packer fans.
Put the gun away.
Favre is mulling over a return to finish out his 2 year contract with Minnesota after Sunday’s loss to the Saints in New Orleans. Favre’s 4th quarter interception, which opened the door for the Saints leading into OT, is one of the biggest factors that could lead to Favre’s 3rd retirement in as many years.
