Alabama Fans Hate the Environment

The holy temple of Auburn University is Toomer’s Corner. The street corner is home to two 130 year old oak trees. It is a place rich in Auburn tradition as it’s where fans celebrate the programs athletic victories. Apparently a 62 year old fan of their rival Alabama named Harvey Almorn Updyke Jr poisoned the trees, called a local radio station to brag about it, and was swiftly arrested after a quick investigation. I guess he wasn’t aware that the police can trace phone calls. The trees were served a fatal dose of herbicide and are not likely to be saved.

After giving away a 24 point lead, and continually failing to take advantage of opportunities, the reigning national champs let Cam Newton and the Tigers hang around, and eventually went on to lose by one point.
