Signing Day
Urban Meyer was obviously hungry for new recruits to fill the void left in his heart by Tim Tebow. If you are wondering where a recruit went, they went to Florida, if they didn’t go there, they went to Texas. Together they took 32 of the top 150, and 6 of the top ten, to combine for the two best recruiting classes ever, or at least since we started measuring in 2006.

Bowden and Paterno Meet at Nintendo Wii Bowl
In what seems to be a bit of confusion between a couple of old football legends, some prankster sent invitations to both Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden (80 years old), and Penn State head coach Joe Paterno (83 years old), to the Nintendo Wii Bowl at Shady Lanes Retirement Community.
The “Bowl” game turned out to be a rousing game of Wii bowling between Shady Lanes residents.
Paterno and Bowden refused to leave and coached both teams to losses somehow.
The Bobby Bowl
If all plays out according to plan, the Gator Bowl is interested in taking Florida State and their mediocre 6-6 record to face West Virginia, as a tribute/going away party for Bobby Bowden. The Gator bowl switches away from the ACC next year, so they can pretty much do what they want, and, lets be honest, this is about money for them as much as it is about Bobby.
For The Record:
TV remotes should be equipped with a rechargeable battery cell, and a charging dock, that way the batteries would not need to be replaced, and we would always be able to locate these illusive devices. I currently have 2 TV remotes, one, which happens to be out of batteries, and the other, which cannot be located. Otherwise I would have been able to change the channel instead of listening to this story that only matters to people in Florida and Bobby Bowden.

Coach Paterno Wins
After 34 seasons Bobby Bowden has been forced to step down as liaison of the Florida State football team. As a competitor he could not admit to himself that he just could not turn it around. There was just no way that grandpa was going into a recruits living room and convincing them that FSU is the place to be. It is one thing to convince a recruit to play for a team where another teammate might shank them in the shower, it is quite another thing to convince them to play for a head coach that might die of natural causes. He is one of the greats, there is a statue of him outside the stadium, but it was time for him to walk away before fans began despising him.
That being said let’s not pretend that Bob was doing anything but overseeing this team. Jimbo Fisher is not going to be able to turn this team around, if he could, he would have as half head coach.
If they are smart they will go after Notre Dame’s left overs.
