
According to ESPN.com, Heat GM Pat Riley is trying to lure the former Buckeye standout to South Beach. Oden is a restricted free agent and has a qualifying offer with the Portland Trailblazers for $8.9 million dollars. The Heat would only be able to offer a mid-level exemption contract for $5 million dollars, but they hope to sell him under the pretenses that they are a serious contender.
