Cavs vs. Celtics, As It Should Be

The first round of the NBA playoffs is often predictable and even sometimes boring. The Cavs were heavily favored to win their first round match up with the Chicago Bulls, and proved that, by winning the series by 3 games, instead of dragging their feet for a week to let the Bulls hang in, and giving everyone between Chi-Town and Lake Erie something distracting enough to help them forget how crappy the weather is for a moment.

The Celtics proved they’re ready to play competitive basketball again, just in time to give all the Eastern NBA fans exactly what they wanted. Let’s be honest, no one is tuning in to see Brandon Jennings and a bunch of nobodies, battle it out against LeBron, Shaq, and Antawn Jamison. The fans want to see The Big Three, aging as they may, stand in the way of LeBron’s destiny, and make a show of the whole thing.

Watching #8 seeds topple a #1 seed is only fun for a day. You’ll always regret it the next week when you have to watch that #8 seed get hammered by a #4 seed in round 2. It’s kind of like watching the San Diego Chargers win the AFC West every year with 12 wins, only to get knocked out by a Wild Card. Such a waste of our time.

When Brandon Jennings turned down a year of one-and-done college ball for a year in the Italian Pro League, he got hated on like he was a comi.   Everyone told this kid he made a mistake, he wouldn’t get minutes, he wouldn’t get noticed, he only cares about money, he’s anti-American.

What does the kid do.

Gets drafted early and puts up silly numbers in his game opener. [17pts, 9 reb, 9 asst]

Goes out and buys a Ford Edge.  Not only an American car, but a sh*tty one, and that is just an assumption because  I don’t even know what it looks like, I didn’t even know Ford made a car called the Edge.

He’s just like Derek Rose and the rest of his peeps, he doesn’t care about education.
