The Clippers were sick of upholding a $14+ million dollar year contract for Baron Davis, just so he could hobble around on swollen knees and hang out at the W in Hollywood. They probably figured anyone can toss oops up high enough that the most athletic dunker in basketball can get them. So they traded him to Cleveland along with what will likely be a lottery pick for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon. The Cavs learned the hard way that free agency is not their friend and were willing to adsorb Davis’ stupid big contract.
