When the Red Sox are at their best they are grinding teams out. They rack up pitch counts, chase out starting pitchers, and hit timely hits. In the AL East teams have to be able to take a beating and the Sox just didn’t look like the lion hearted, scrappy fighters we are used to seeing. They didn’t even want to be in the ring.

Pop Star Avril Lavgne threw out the first pitch at a Tampa Bay Devil Rays game this weekend and then hit the stage for a post game concert. When her mic didn’t work the crowd began to boo, as crowds tend to do when mic’s don’t work. When the use of her mic returned she used it to drop F bombs on the booing crowd.

Cliff Lee officially owns David Price and the rest of the Rays. The batters looked like they were being asked to solve derivatives. He threw almost all strikes. He was moving inside and outside to all the corners while mixing his curve with his fastball and just confusing/running circles around the Rays. He actually laughed after striking out Carlos Pena for the third time in the night. The Rangers offense secured the game with base running, while Josh Hamilton continued to do nothing in the clean-up spot.
