Dodgers Trade Manny For One Month of McCourt’s Alimony
After falling back six and a half games this weekend, the Dodgers sent Manny to the White Sox for the remainder of his $20 million dollar contract. It is being said that the decision was made after Manny was ejected Sunday for arguing a called strike. Again Manny is being blamed for a bitter end. Let’s Recap.
Dodging Victory, Phillies Make 8 Run Comeback to Beat LA

The Dodgers took a 7 run lead into the 8th inning, and left it there.
Weak relief batting practice toss pitching by Jonathon Broxton, coupled with epicly poor defense, gave the Phillies 8 runs in the final two innings in Philadelphia last night, adding to LA’s mounting woes as they fall to 4th place and 9 games back in the NL West.
Maybe if Mrs. McCourt would stop trying to be a greedy b*tch and ruin the Dodgers financially, the Dodgers could go out and buy some help.Just sayin.
Hey Joe Torre, how much are you missing NY right now?
For The Record: Dodgers fans couldn’t care less. It’s Raiders season already.
HOSTAGE SITUATION AT DODGERS STADIUM
Just a player or two away from seriously competing in the NL, the Dodgers let the likes Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, and John Lackey switch teams while failing to resign Randy Wolf and John Garland in the off-season and they look poised to do little else to fix the club’s glaring holes in their rotation. Thanks to their owner’s pricey divorce the club is being forced to hold their fans hostage.
It is now being reported that Frank McCourt is syphoning off money from the club in order to pay his wife Jamie $637,159 a month in support. According to Fanhouse, over the past 18 months, the Dodgers paid nearly $4 million in “consulting services” to an entity that has done virtually nothing for the club, and upwards of $600,000.00 in salaries is being paid to the failed marriage’s two sons, for undefined jobs, which the owners could not explain. Meanwhile, the fans get to pay more for tickets to attend games in a stadium that was scheduled for $500 million in renovations, that would have included a promenade of restaurants and stores, which has since been cancelled. Instead, they will watch their team, again, be unable to compete in the playoffs.
Maybe in places like Utah girls get married for God, but in LA b*tches get married for money, and the fans are suffering for it. I think they deserve a little something, like “bring your own forties and tacos day”, or promotions such as “families of more than 10 get tickets half off”

Pittsburgh Pirates Tied Atop The NL Central
With a dominating 11-5 beatdown of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Pittsburgh Pirates have burst out of the gates this season, and are on track to go undefeated this season barring injuries, trades, or any more games.
This is the fourth season in a row that the Pirates have started the season undefeated, but this year’s team hopes to build on last season’s 99 loss record.
The Pirates also unleashed their top secret defensive shift strategy, which held the Dodgers to only 5 runs all game.
By tying all their infielders together, don’t expect to see any balls getting through the third base hole this season.
For The Record: Right Fielder Garrett Jones is actively trying to get traded out of Pittsburgh by batting .500 with 2 HRs and 3 RBIs in one game this season.
Manny Showers Off Loss
I hate to break it to everyone, but baseball is not a team sport. The players make up a team, but it is an individual pitching against an individual hitting. The only thing that requires chemistry in baseball is the double play.
That being said, does Manny taking a shower in the bottom of the ninth, in the NLCS, after being pulled for a defensive substitute make him a bad teammate? Yes, on some level it does. If everyone on the team acted like Manny, I would venture to guess that things would not gel very well. BUT Manny is not a smart man, and when he gets pulled he showers, that is his routine. Much like dogs who go to the bathroom when they wake up, that is just what they know.
So does this matter? No. What does matter is not that he is the first to the showers, it is that he is the first to the stadium, because he works harder on his swing than anyone in the league. That may not help team chemistry, but if everyone on the team did that, I guarantee it would pad numbers, which is what matters in this sport.
The Dodgers Have No Heart
After being blown out 11-0 in game 3 of the NLCS, the Dodgers responded in game 4 with a blown save in the ninth. Their shut down closer Jonathan Broxton walked pinch hitter Matt Stairs on four pitches, then hit Carlos Ruiz, recorded an out, and gave up a walk-off triple to Jimmy Rollins. The Dodgers lost 5-4.
I think that was a dagger. I wouldn’t expect another win.
