Tim Tebow’s First Playoff Game Bible Verse, Hebrews 12:1-2 GB²

Moses parted the Red Sea, Jesus walked on water, and Tim Tebow took the God-awful Denver Broncos out of the Luck lottery, and into the playoffs after a 1-5 start to the season. The miracle is not that Tim Tebow went 7-3 in the final ten games of the season, the miracle is that a road so wide was paved through the AFC West, that Tim Tebow could have drifted Noah’s Ark down it with his eyes closed.

Tebow shared this piece of scripture with social media followers this morning, as a prelude to his first NFL playoff game of his mysterious and confusing NFL career.

Hebrews 12: 1-2 GB

1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the ^asin which doth so easily ^bbeset us, and let us run with ^cpatience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the ^aauthor and ^bfinisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him ^cendured the cross, despising the ^dshame, and is set down at the right hand of the ^ethrone of God.

I’m loving the keywords here. “..so great a cloud of witnesses”, “..run with patience”, and “finisher of our faith”? Sounds like the Steelers better put 9 in the box today in Denver.

For The Record: Not to steal your swagger Tim, but I think you chose your verse of the day a little prematurely. You should have kept reading until you got to verse 17:

17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with ^atears.
