KC’s Matt Cassel Saved a Woman from a Burning Building Last Night

KMBC in Missouri is reporting that when a fire broke out in a Village of Loch Lloyd, MO home late Thursday night, Kansas City Chiefs starting QB ran to his neighbor’s front door and began banging on the house to alert his neighbor of the fire. The woman inside, somehow clueless to the fact that her own house was ablaze, rushed outside, and later admitted that without Cassel and his wife’s quick actions, she may not have gotten out in time.

Sorry to be so cynical, but how can you be walking around a house that’s on fire and not notice something is wrong?

After being praised for his heroics on the local news, Cassel later released a statement to the media by relaying a message through a mutual friend which said:

“I wasn’t heroic at all,” …. “I just ran up to the house and alerted them. The real heroes are the firefighters.” -KMBC

For The Record: When we reached out to Matt for comment, he simply said:

“F*** Tebow. Who’s the Savior now?”

Why was a KC news outlet reporting on news out of Mississippi? (or did the editors simply not know that "MS" is the postal code for Mississippie and "MO" is the code for Missouri?)

Sorry to be so cynical, but how can you report a story if you don't know that Missouri is abbreviated MO. not MS.
