Ten Reasons Kobe Will Never Be Greater Than Michael Jordan

This is an on-going debate among basketball fans of all ages. Let’s put it to rest already.
10. Kobe doesn’t make nobodies into superstars.
- Kobe Bryant could not win a championship without Shaq or Pau Gasol, and Kobe is not good enough to make Jordan Farmar, Luke Walton, or Andrew Bynum look like stars. Jordan made Ron Harper, Horace Grant, Steve Kerr, John Paxson, B.J. Armstrong, Toni Kukoc, Will Perdue, Luc Longley, and Stacey King ALL into 3-peat Champions. Overall, 44 different men won rings with Jordan.
9. Kobe’s shoes look like trash.
- When new Jordan’s were released, people slept outside of malls and raced to Foot Lockers in the morning. Today, people rather wear $15 Starburys than be seen in Kobe’s shoe.
8. Jordan defeated the Monstars. Kobe defeated the Denver legal system.
- Honestly, I know Kobe was innocent in the rape case, but he shouldn’t have put himself in that position in the first place. Cheating on your wife is a lot harder this century than in the early 90′s. That’s why Jordan got a divorce.
7. Kobe buzzer-beaters usually come against teams like Memphis.
- Jordan hit some of the most clutch and epic buzzer-beaters in history. Once Kobe hits a jumper at the buzzer in a series clinching situation, he can get closer to the conversation. Beating the Clippers in OT in January is less than impressive.
6. Kobe really has no video game.
5. The 72-10 record beats the 81 points.
- When the Bulls went 72-10 in 1995-1996, they dominated the league like no other team ever had. When Kobe Bryant scored 81 points against one of the worst teams in the league by shooting 4 times as much as anyone else on the floor, it was only impressive that no one on his team tried to block his shots or at least towel-snap him in the locker room for embarrassing them on national tv. The Lakers also did not win the title that year.
4. Jordan never switched numbers to sell jerseys.
- How can any self-respecting Lakers fan be ok with Kobe changing his number?
3. Jordan has awards Kobe will never get.
- Jordan has an NCAA title, a Naismith, Wooden College Player of the Year Award, 6 NBA Titles, 5 MVPs, 10 scoring titles, defensive titles, 6 finals mvps, and a host of other things Kobe never will be.
2. Franchise legacy.
- Jordan was the Bulls, Kobe is not even the greatest Laker ever. See Magic Johnson.
1. The Shaq trade.
- Great players don’t cry like babies to get someone traded so they can have the spotlight to themselves, and then 4 years later cry that management has to go out and find a free agent, because Kobe couldn’t do it himself.

I agree 100% on all of those… Except #4…
I still think Jordan wore #45 when he first came back as a ploy.

Number one is not correct…Jordan never did it by himself either, ok he did during the 80s and got bounced out of the playoffs then he got Scottie Pippen, Armstrong, Hoarce Grant, etc. people always try to downplay how good his team was. Secondly, Jordan complained all the time who was on his team and tried to get people moved, read the Jordan Rules. Jordan wouldn't have won a title either playing with Smush Parker.
Number 8 headline is funny as hell though. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2905114/…

Darius – I agree 100% too, but I dont think the 45 thing was a ploy.., Hank… Jordan did have help, but he made everyone, I mean EVERYONE, better… Kobe can't and he doesn't want too..
