When news broke that Shaq was going to Cleveland to play alongside LeBron, I think we all got a little excited. One of the greatest centers on his way out playing with the next greatest player on his way up. Unfortunately, Shaq’s not as big of an influence with the Cavs this season as fans had hoped, but that’s not to say that his being there hasn’t inspired some interesting trains of thought when the duo is shown side by side.

In 1993, for those of you who don’t remember “Are You A Roughneck?”, Shaq released his first rap album entitled “Shaq Diesel”. He was on top of the world and basically could sell anything they put his name on, and I cannot lie, I rocked this album for the majority of 6th grade.
LeBron however was only 8 years old when the album dropped. Here are a few things LeBron was probably doing at the time.
Hanging out at Chuck E. Cheese

He most likely dominated the basketball game, and probably broke the whack-a-mole game.
Smacking kids with Snap Bracelets

Pet rocks were for dorks, and LeBron was probably on top of the neon snap bracelets with the potential to cut wrists, because Akron keeps it ghetto like that.

No doubt he was playing Jordan vs. Bird even if it was 4 years old. The guy wears #23. You know he jocked that game.
Watching Full House
If his mom raised him as well as we all think she did, you know she had him watching Danny Tanner and the gang to learn life lessons like the rest of us.
In all reality, LeBron was probably out dunking on high school kids in 1993 and hustling kids for their lunch money, but it was fun imagining what one superstar was doing while his eventual teammate was out dropping hot fire like this!

Couple things…
1) Slap bracelets were popular in 1989-1990
2) I happen to know for a fact Lebron was more of a Boy Meets World guy…
