Beltran Prefers Surgery to Playing for Mets

Carlos Beltran didn’t wait for the go-ahead from Mets officials to have surgery that would put him out of baseball activities for around 3 months, right before spring training begins.

It’s no secret that professional baseball players loathe spring training, but it’s also no secret that Mets players hate being healthy.

Beltran did nothing wrong by ignoring Mets medical office, and having surgery. Getting medical advice from anyone in the Mets organization is like getting investment tips from Bernie Madoff.
