With John Lackey [five years, 82.5 mill + incentives] joining a troupe that already bolstered Josh Beckett, Jon Lester, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Tim Wakefield, and Clay Buchholtz,  It is safe to say that the Red Sox now have the best rotation in baseball…Until two weeks into the season when Lackey [51 starts the last two seasons, avg 170 IP] gets injured again and requires Tommy John surgery.  Beckett goes down with blisters again, Daisuke falls apart again,  Wakefield begins suffering from a combo of arthritis and Alzheimer’s, and Buchholz is traded for a batter.
