With Kurt Warner back in the saddle, and Matt Leinart back where he belongs, on the bench, the Arizona Cardinals flipped the switch on expectations when they beat the red-hot Minnesota Vikings this week, solidifying themselves as a playoff bound team this fall. The Dolphins upended the Pats putting the AFC East back into reach for a couple of teams, and the Steelers lost another big game. Let’s see how the rankings fell this week.
1. New Orleans Saints- Divine intervention, or point shaving? Washington’s kicker missed a 23 yard field goal to beat the undefeated Saints in the waning moments of the game. He was then promptly released from the team immediately afterwards. Saints hold the top spot till they lose a game all the way.
2. Indianapolis Colts- Peyton Manning’s forehead may be growing with every win, but don’t plan on seeing it stop in the regular season as the Colts have 3 easy games remaining, and are looking to make Don Shula cry at the end of the season.
3. Minnesota Vikings- The Vikings may have had a bump in the road in Arizona, butwith 10 wins, this team is still a force to be reckon with in the NFC. Look for a great game this week as the Vikings and Bengals meet in what should be a prime time display of playoff style football. Whichever team wins the ground game will probably win the overall game.
4. Cincinnati Bengals- Beating the Lions is like managing a dry hump at prom, but give the Bengals credit for not playing down to their opponent. Cedric Benson appears to be back to form, and the Bengals are legit with him on the field. Ochocinco spent $30,000 on a sombrero gag after scoring a touchdown, but since he doesn’t pay his car payments, he has the extra scratch.
5. San Diego Chargers- They may have struggled a bit with the Browns, but they got the job done which is more than we can say for other teams like the Steelers. With games against the Cowboys and Bengals coming up, don’t be surprised if the surging Chargers look average again for a couple weeks. I sat the Chargers defense in fantasy football, because Romo could drop bombs this week in Dallas.
7. Arizona Cardinals- As long as Matt Leinart is on the bench, this team is pretty good. Tim Hightower and Beanie Wells like to fumble a lot, but Kurt Warner has the talent to keep this team alive in tough spots. The Cardinals will win out and probably cover the spread the next two weeks with games against the 49ers and Lions. Whether or not they’ll win any games in the playoffs is still debatable.
8. Green Bay- Aaron Rodgers made the Ravens defense look average on the frozen tundra this weekend. With some help from Charles Woodson on D this team becomes more of a legitimate playoff contender every week. Most Packer fans are just praying for another beating from Brett Favre in the playoffs. They’re into pain or something.
9. Alabama Crimson Tide- Hating on Tim Tebow has become much of America’s favorite past time. Don’t be confused, I don’t hate him because he loves Jesus, I hate him because he goes to Florida. Watching Alabama make him cry on the sideline, and know that Archie Griffin’s spot as the only two-time Heisman winner ever is still in tact makes every Ohio State football fan happy. Thank you Alabama. See you in Pasadena.

I have one problem with this article…..
The Colts have 2 easy games ahead of them.
The Jaguars are hungry for a win Thursday night…..
Jags will win it by 3…..
