Notre Dame doesn’t put up much of a fight in football, but its students have proven they are still Fighting Irish. An angry fan punched QB Jimmy Clausen in the eye as he was leaving a local pub, with his parents, and gave him a shiner. A skinnier, smarter coach could have given ND a solid season with these recruits, but Weis has them getting abused by their own fans.
