Eric Mangini, who barely has a football team, has been quoted as saying that the Browns would love to have a talent like LeBron James on the field if he wanted to switch to football. James was a standout wide reciever in high school and fits the mold of an Antonio Gates or Tony Gonzalez.

Obviously the Browns would love to have an athlete on the field who fans would pay to see, but LeBron hasn’t played since High School. Obviously the Browns would love to have someone with any kind of physical talent who isn’t hurt right now. Obviously Mangini is finding anything to talk about that doesn’t concern his team not being able to score on offense.

My question is, who the heck would throw the ball to LeBron? The Browns had Braylon Edwards earlier this season and did nothing with him. How is getting a basketball player the answer?

Someone please take sports away from Cleveland before they become Kansas City.
