City of Losers

Boston fans have had a nice ride this decade, 3 Super Bowls, 2 World Series titles, and 1 NBA Championship. But today was not a day to remember in the city of Boston.

The mighty Red Sox looked meek in a 3 game ALDS series against the usually playoff bust LA Angels of Anaheim San Bernardino Mexico. David Ortiz was more Big Floppy than Big Papi, going 1 for 500 in the series, and small-mouthed Papelbon played more like 2007 Eric Gagne.

The New England Patriots played as the Boston Patriots today in a throwback game celebrating the 50th year aniversary of the AFL. They lost to the Denver Broncos 20-17 in OT in more of a throwback to the early 90s when the Pats always lost to everyone.

Hopefully some Boston fans noticed the Celtics preseason victory over the lowly NJ Nets with a healthy KG on the floor. Otherwise the suicide hotlines in Boston will be all jammed up tonight.

Did the Red Sox look Meek when they appeared to be on their way to a victory with a 5-1 lead? Is it possible that they were outplayed by a better team? It's always about Boston losing and not the other team winning. The Boston love fest makes me wanna throw up in my hand and shove it down the throat of every Boston sports fan who thinks their teams are so superior and shouldn't lose.
