SF Giants Attempting to Raise Team ERA

San Francisco is known for being a trailblazing type of town, and the Giants are putting their best foot forward in being the first MLB team to actively ruin their chances at making the playoffs in the middle of a Wild Card race.

The Dodger chasing Giants are attempting to sign Brad Penny after the Red Sox essentially wrapped his body in trash bags and dumped him into the harbor last week after he went 1-6 in his last 11 starts with a 5.61 ERA. The Giants need help as 75 year-old Randy Johnson injured himself playing shuffleboard with Bob Barker at LeisureWorld earlier this month.

(p.s. if I had seen this picture while Penny was playing with the Sox, I would have prayed for a Dave Drevecky repeat.)
